Mission Statement

The mission of Forest Lake Academy, a Seventh-day Adventist Christian high school, is to challenge its students and staff to develop and model:

  • Love and service for God and community
  • Respect for self and others
  • Intellectual growth, and
  • Christ-like character
Beliefs Statement

We believe...

  • God is the center, foundation, author, and source of all learning.
  • Unselfish service to God and humanity is an integral component of the curriculum.
  • The education program includes the physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, and social elements of development.
  • Each student is challenged to reach his or her maximum potential.
  • Staff portray the love and compassion of Christ and model what they teach.
  • Development of critical thinking skills is encouraged.
  • Adaptability is vital for continual growth of students and staff.
  • Diversity and cultural awareness enrich the social and spiritual fabric of school life.
  • Communal and personal responsibility enhance intellectual and character development.
