Bio

Elvira Ruiz is a certified nurse assistant in Illinois and Tennessee. She has also earned her G.E.D from Waubansee Community College in Illinois. She has many years of experience and has now been a part of the FLA family for one year. 

Why do you feel called to Christian Education? 

I feel proud to be part of Christian education, where my beliefs and faith are reflected. I want to be a light for my co-workers, and I love being around kids and people. 

What do you love most about working at FLA? 
What I love about working with FLA is being appreciated for what I do and making a difference in the lives of student workers and students alike. I love seeing their smiles, their confidence, and the trust they place in me. 

 
What are some activities you love to do outside of work/school? 

I love cooking, going to the beach, and most of all, spending time with my family. My granddaughters are my pride and joy, and I especially cherish having family together for our Sabbath lunches.
