Bio

John Bedell holds a BA and MA in History from Andrews University. He has over 35 years of experience in education and has been teaching at FLA for 11 years. 

Why do you feel called to Christian Education? 

My goal is for God to use me to encourage students and uplift the love of Jesus in my classroom. I'm a broken vessel but thankfully God finds a way to use me. 

What do you love most about working at FLA? 

FLA is an opportunity to work with a talented and diverse student body. I enjoy that very much. I also love working with a great team of faculty and staff. 

What are some activities you love to do outside of work/school? 

I love being outside, reading, biking, jogging and hiking. I also follow the Detroit sports teams. I love to read.
