Bio

Michael Murphy holds a BA in Education, History, and Religion, as well as an MA in Administration. Mr. Murphy has 39 years of experience in education and has been teaching at FLA for 15 years. 

Why do you feel called to Christian Education? 

Working with young people has been the greatest privilege of my life. Since high school, God has placed this desire on my heart and over the years, it has been all I ever wanted to do. I have experienced the joy of seeing young people experience growth and maturity in their relationship with God and through their relationship with me and their peers. This is what I have been blessed to do over the years. Connecting our youth with Christ. What a wonderful blessing it has been. 

What do you love most about working at FLA? 

I love connecting with my students and colleagues through our daily interactions and listening to and sharing my experiences with them. 

What are some activities you love to do outside of work/school? 

Serving in church, spending time with my family, traveling and riding my bike.
